Synopsis
Can Anna find love in the City of Light? Anna is happy in Atlanta. She has a loyal best friend and a crush on her coworker at the movie theater, who is just starting to return her affection. So she’s less than thrilled when her father decides to send her to a boarding school in Paris for her senior year. But despite not speaking a word of French, Anna meets some cool new people, including the handsome Étienne St. Clair, who quickly becomes her best friend. Unfortunately, he’s taken —and Anna might be, too. Will a year of romantic near misses end with the French kiss she’s waiting for?
Quick Thoughts
If I’m being honest with you, I took out this audiobook from the library because I’m waiting for one of my holds to become available and I knew it wouldn’t take me too long to blast through this one or I wouldn’t mind giving up on it half way through if my hold was ready.
I mean, don’t get me wrong…this book was not terrible…it was just not the right contemporary novel for me. I didn’t hate it and I did listen to the whole thing, but there was just a lot that I couldn’t jive with. If I read this when I was 13/14 years old I probably would have liked it a bit more. Now the question is, do I bother with Lola and the Boy Next Door & Isla and the Happily Ever After???

Thank you for reading!
I liked this book when I first read it, but when I thought back on it I didn’t think it was so hot. The cheating and pining after someone else’s boyfriend really bugged me. That guy was not a good one by the way he acted.
I liked reading your quick thoughts!
