So, I missed posting a Views post last week and for that I apologize! Life hasn’t really been all that hectic so I can’t use that as an excuse. In all honesty, I’ve been a little distracted lately…keep reading to find out why!

Life

Many things have been taking over my life lately, but the biggest thing is probably the fact that I’m leaving for a vacation on the other side of the planet in about 2 weeks. I keep stressing about making sure that I have everything ready and it really does keep me up at night. I’m also a nervous flyer and thinking about an almost 14 hour plane ride is giving me some anxiety. Speaking of vacations, can you believe it has already been a year since I was in Tokyo?! I can’t, that’s for sure.

In other news, the Olympics have been happening. To be more specific, the winter Olympics are happening…a.k.a. Canada’s time to shine! We’ve been doing amazing this season and if I’m correct, I think we’ve already surpassed our medal count from 4 years ago! I’ve been really religious about watching the figure skating events & omg Tessa & Scott though. I can’t.

I also finally got some new prescription glasses and sun glasses…or so I thought. I went to go pick up my new glasses the other day and they ordered the wrong frames + the sunglasses weren’t ready yet. Overall, it was a slight waste of time and I’m still waiting for the updated pair to come. Please please please let them both just get here before I leave.

Call Me By Your Name by André Aciman

Quick Thoughts: Very reminiscent of A Single Man by Christopher Isherwood or Holding The Man by Timothy Conigrave. I can’t wait to finally watch the film!

Quick Thoughts: I will drop everything for a Shaun David Hutchinson novel…which is exactly what I did when this showed up in my mailbox! It was perfect & I loved it.

Dreamin’ Sun Vol.3 by Ichigo Takano

Quick Thoughts: I loved this volume and I have picked a ship…however, this volume kind of killed that ship. Hopefully that changes though…I’m really praying here.

Quick Thoughts: A cute and modern take on the Cinderella fairy tale. I really enjoyed this one! A great book to take my mind off of the past few stressful days.

Letters To The Lost by Brigid Kemmerer 

Quick Thoughts: This is one of those books that I stayed up all night reading. If you know me, you know that I have a hard time reading big chunks of a book at a time as I find it hard to pay attention, but this one got me. I read a full 250 pages last night to finish this one and I haven’t done that in a long time.

Televisions Shows I Have Binged / I’m Trying to Keep Up With

As we all know, I’m forever behind on Riverdale and This Is Us. Right when I think I’m caught up, somehow I’ve missed another 2 episodes. Oh life.

In other news, I did binge the entire season of Everything Sucks! on Netflix and I thought it was pretty cute. It’s like Freaks & Geeks meets Stranger Things…but no monsters.

I also kind of stopped watching Altered Carbon. As I mentioned, I’ve been religiously watching the Olympics so I’ve kind of been neglecting a lot of shows recently! Pray that I can catch up soon!
