This week was pretty uneventful, but I got a lot of reading done! Check out this mini wrap up of life, books, movies, television and music from this past week!
Life
This week was pretty calm compared to past weeks. Nothing really eventful happened during the week until the end of it.
On Friday, I had a wisdom tooth removed. I was supposed to get it out on February 10th, but I decided it was just too painful to wait that long and moved it up a week. Honestly, it hurt more before the removal than after. I think that tooth just really needed to come out.
Other than that, it was a weekend of reading while I recovered from the wisdom tooth removal (which really wasn’t much of a recovery considering it healed so damn quickly). I did start to get a bit of a sore throat though and my voice is now basically gone. I did manage to read quite a bit as I lay in my bed this weekend as you will see below!

Quick Thoughts: My choice to judge a book by its cover was a wise one in this case. I absolutely loved how strange and dark this first volume was!
Dreamin’ Sun Vol.1 by Ichigo Takano (Review Coming Soon!)
Quick Thoughts: Super cute intro to a series + I absolutely LOVED Orange by the same author!

Quick Thoughts: Picked up the second volume right after reading the first! Now, should I hit purchase on volumes 3-5?

N/A – I haven’t watched any films lately…but I am working on reading Call Me By Your Name so I can watch it ASAP! Hopefully I’ll have a novel/film comparison & review ready for you soon!
Televisions Shows I’m Trying to Keep Up With
I’m all caught up on Riverdale and I have some thoughts. 1) Who is this Dave Franco look alike they found to play Betty’s brother. 2) Did they really think naming a Canadian mobster Papa Poutine was a good idea? I cringed way too hard and let me tell you, no one is afraid of a mobster named fucking PAPA POUTINE.
I’m an episode behind on This Is Us because I really had no idea there was a new episode after the Super Bowl. Hopefully I can catch up on that one soon, I hear it’s a real tear jerker.
I also started watching Altered Carbon last night and while I was too tired to make it through a full episode, it did capture my attention and I’m exited to continue watching it!

You definitely have to stick to Altered Carbon! I, too, almost fell asleep in both the first and second episode, but in my defense, I was bordering hypothermia when I binged it haha
Glad it feels better for you now that the wisdom tooth is out. They suck so much, they’re a massive evolutionary oversight if you ask me!

Thank you so much! It actually healed quite quickly! So glad I had it taken out earlier, it was more painful before the removal to be honest haha!

I absolutely LOVED A Single Man (book and movie) so I will definitely pick up the CMBYN novel now. I really like he film, looking forward to a possible book/movie comparison!
