Well, this week was definitely an eventful one! I read a lot and I attended quite a few events! While it was busy, it was a lot of fun! Twas a great week! 😀

Life

This past week was a hectic one, but it was definitely super fun and exciting! Last weekend, I hung out with a few friends in Toronto. It was more of a chill hangout and we just stayed in and caught up on life and other interesting things! The next day, I went back downtown to hang out with my fellow book bloggers! We had our monthly Read Harder meeting where we discussed all of our thoughts and feelings on all of the books that we have been reading! I love our read harder meetings as it’s a great opportunity to catch up with my blogging friends that I haven’t seen in a while!

Then, on Wednesday, I had the opportunity to attend an advance screening of Love, Simon thanks to HCCFrenzy!! Can I just say that when I saw this invite in my emails I lost my damn mind! The actual release date of the movie coincides with when I’ll be away on vacation, so I’m really glad that I was able to see it before hand! It was absolutely beautiful and just such a wonderful film! Stay tuned for my full review coming out closer to the release date!

The very next day, Pierce Brown was back in town signing copies of his newest novel, Iron Gold! I started blogging almost three years ago now and the first signing that I ever went to was for Pierce Brown when he was signing Morning Star! This was the first time that I met a lot of the Toronto book bloggers that are now some of my closest friends! It was great to go back to another Pierce Brown signing and reminisce on my early blogging days!

This past Saturday, my sister got her fifth tattoo and she just so happened to go to the same place that I got mine done. She even got tattooed by the same artist! It was cool to go back! He’s just such a chill guy and the shop makes you feel completely comfortable. I highly recommend Andrew (@calm.l0ck) at  Ink And Water Tattoo if you are looking to get tattooed in Toronto!

I also went for a dental checkup and it turns out another wisdom tooth has come through…and it’s growing in sideways towards my cheek…great. So I’m trying to decide if I should get it pulled before or after my trip. Decisions decisions.
