#Weekly Wrap Up: Issue #28 – Books, Music, Television & Life Update!

This one is really late folks. I feel like these posts may start to become a little more inconsistent as the busy holiday season approaches!

Rather than recap everything day by day since the last time we spoke, I figured I’d talk more about the past week & a half’s highlights!

All in all, I really didn’t do much! It’s just been a lot of going to work and coming home to either relax or do more work of some sort. My Korean lessons are still going well, although it is starting to get a little harder now. I’m not going to give up though! It has always been on my bucket list to learn a second language and I’ll never achieve that if I give up too easily.

Other than that, I did tune into the AMAs this past Sunday to watch my boys in BTS perform on their first ever performance on an American Music Award Show! How could I miss it?! BTS is the reason I have recently become so addicted to KPOP and they will always have a special place in my heart! If you haven’t already, you should check out their live performance! They were fantastic!

Recently Finished: 99 Days by Katie Cotugno & We Are All Made Of Molecules by Susin Nielsen

I’m starting to think that Katie Cotugno’s writing just isn’t for me personally. 99 Days was my second book from here and it just didn’t work for me. I love contemporary YA, but for whatever reason, her writing just isn’t jiving with me. At least I tried! I also recently picked up We Are All Made Of Molecules by Susin Nielsen which has been on my TBR for the longest time. Now this was a fantatstic book. It dealt with so many issues that I think young teenagers should be reading about. From bullying to homophobia to sexual assault, this book covered it all within so few pages!

Currently Reading: Siege of Shadows by Sarah Raughley & The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid & Depression & Other Magic Tricks by Sabrina Benaim

I’m not going to say too much about Siege Of Shadows as you’ll be seeing a full blog tour review post from me tomorrow, but I only have a few pages left and I’ve definitely enjoyed this one more than the first novel in the series! Stay tuned for my review + a Q&A with Sarah Raughley coming tomorrow! I also started reading The Seven Husbands Of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid as so many people have talked about this book and how much they loved it! I can’t wait to see what all the hype is about! I’m only about 65 pages into it so far, but I can tell that I’m most likely going to love this one! I also recently picked up Depression and Other Magic Tricks by Sabrina Benaim! This is my first venture into reading poetry in the traditional sense and I’m eager to see what I think of it!

Next Up: The Wicker King by K. Ancrum & Shadow Girl by Liana Liu

I’ve been meaning to read The Wicker King by K. Ancrum since I picked it up a few weeks ago, but I just haven’t been able to find the time! It does seem like the perfect book for me though! I can’t wait to get to it soon! I also am super eager to pick up Shadow Girl by Liana Liu! I got an ARC of it not too long ago and I’m excited to finally be picking this one up soon!

Recently Watched: N/A

Yeah…I’ve had no time to watch any movies if I’m being honest. The next movie I’m hoping to see in theatres will probably be Star Wars, but who knows!

Currently Watching: This Is Us Season 2, Riverdale Season 2 & The Walking Dead Season 8

So technically, I’m watching a few more shows than these. However, these are the ones that I’m currently keeping on top of and that I’m caught up on! As mentioned above, time is not something that I have a lot of right now so I’m basically just behind on life.

Currently Listening To: Shall We Dance by Block B

Yeah…good luck getting this one out of your head.

As always, thank you for reading!

  1. I have seen the Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo dotted around but I am interested in hearing what you will think of it. I haven’t actually seen/read a review on it yet but the title and cover has been intriguing me!
I’m also watching Riverdale Season 2!
