Well, I totally forgot about this post. These weekly catch ups really tend to sneak up on me! Here is a little recap of what my life has been like in the past week! 🙂

LIFE

Can you believe Halloween was already a whole week ago? My favourite holiday of the year has come and gone and I’m really sad! I helped hand out candy on Halloween day this year as, sadly, I’m an adult now and partying on a Tuesday is out of the question. We did have some Halloween festivities at work like dressing up and carving pumpkins! I was part of a team that carved our pumpkin to look like the aliens from Toy Story. We popped it in a box and made it look like the claw machine! We tried our best, but came in second after first place went to a Stranger Things themed pumpkin. Oh…and I was also dressed in a onesie that looked like said alien!

The rest of the week was pretty quiet and things didn’t really pick up until the weekend! On Saturday I spent three and a half hours in a salon chair. Yupp, I got rid of the blonde guys! I’m back to my natural dark self which I’m really excited about! I also cut off a few inches! It was time for a new look!

On Sunday, I went to visit my grandmother as usual! After that, my mom and I went to go check out The Stockyards in Toronto, which is basically an outdoors shopping plaza! Nothing special, but it was still fun to hang around there for a bit! I then went to meet up with Joey, Jesse, Kat & Jenna downtown where were went for some dinner! After that we hung out at Snakes and Lattes and played boardgames until we lost track of time! It was a fantastic night and I was really sad to have to say goodbye to Jenna! Hopefully you can come visit us again soon, or maybe we can come visit you! 😉

BOOKS

Recently Finished: The Temptation Of Adam by Dave Connis, The Art Of Starving by Sam J. Miller, Quiet Girl In A Noisy World by Debbie Tung, The Female Of The Species by Mindy McGinnis & The Secret History of Us by Jessi Kirby

Wow…I read more than I thought I did this week. Early last week, I was a part of the The Temptation Of Adam Blog Tour! You can check out my full review here! I also read The Art Of Starving by Sam J. Miller which I sadly didn’t enjoy as much as I thought I would. You can read my full review here. I also picked up Quiet Girl in a Noisy World by Debbie Tung and it was the most relatable thing I have ever read! You can read my full review here. I then finished the audiobook version of The Female Of The Species by Mindy McGinnis which caught me completely off-guard! I loved it! I’ll have a mini-review coming up soon for that one! I also JUST finished The Secret History of Us by Jessi Kirby this morning so I figured I’d throw it onto this list! I ended up really enjoying this one as well, especially because it wasn’t even on my radar until a couple of days ago! I’ll have a full review for this one coming up soon!

Currently Reading: Siege of Shadows by Sarah Raughley

I just started reading Siege Of Shadows by Sarah Raughley, the second installment in the Effigies series! I really enjoyed Fate of Flames and I can’t wait to see how this story progresses! I usually also have an audiobook on the go, but I just finished one this morning and I haven’t been able to choose what to listen to next!

Next Up: The Wicker King by K. Ancrum, Depression & Other Magic Tricks by Sabrina Benaim

These are two titles that I’m super excited for! The Wicker King by K. Ancrum sounds like something that I am 100% going to love. It seems like the perfect contemporary read for my taste! I have also really been meaning to get into more poetry and Depression and Other Magic Tricks by Sabrina Benaim seems like the perfect way to start! I can’t wait to dive into both of these!

TELEVISION

Recently Finished: Stranger Things 2

Ugh, I’m so sad that I’m already done with Stranger Things 2! I feel like I waited so long for it and now it’s just done. I breezed through it so quickly and I loved it just as much as I loved season 1! I can’t believe I have to wait another whole year for more! I’m going to cry!

Currently Watching: This Is Us Season 2, Star Trek Discovery, American Horror Story Season 7, Mindhunter Season 1, Riverdale Season 2 & The Walking Dead Season 8

I’m currently behind on This Is Us, Star Trek Discovery, Mindhunter, Riverdale & The Walking Dead because my life is hectic and I suck at keeping up with shows nowadays, but I’m hoping to catch up as much as I can this week! I have been keeping on top of American Horror Story though which is shocking because I’m not really enjoying it as much as I would have liked.

Next Up: Shameless

Shameless came back this week and while this show used to be one of my favourites, it has now started to die out for me. It has become very repetitive and my favourite characters are gone so I’m starting to lost interest. However, I am still going to try and check out this new season! Hopefully it can redeem itself!
