Weekly Catch-Up: Issue #25 – Books, Music, Television & Life Update!

weeklycatchup

I’ve been having some pretty chill weeks lately and I’m not complaining!

LIFE

I haven’t really done much in terms of extracurriculars this week once again. Outside of work, I’ve just been relaxing while catching up on tv shows, reading and also watching hockey!

I’ve also been prepping for multiple Halloween events, outside of and within work. We have a pumpkin carving contest happening at work next week and we can bring props and whatever we’d like to spruce up our pumpkins! We have a pretty solid idea so we’ve been trying to gather all of the materials that we need! I’m also going to a Halloween part tonight which was pretty last minute, but thankfully I have costumes that I’ve worn for previous comicons!

Last week, I believe that I mentioned we were hosting an Employee Giving Campaign at work in which we’ve been hosting different events to raise money for charity! I was on the committee so there was a lot of planning and executing that happened this week! We also held both a silent auction and a live auction and I ended up with a winning bid on an ipad! I’ve been wanting to get one and now I got one for a pretty good deal and the money goes to a good cause which I’m really happy about!

BOOKS

WeAreTheAnts

Recently Finished: We Are The Ants by Shaun David Hutchinson

I recently re-read one of my favourite books of all time, We Are The Ants by Shaun David Hutchinson! I was in a bit of a reading slump this week, so I decided to revisit an old favourite and I’m so glad I did. This book is amazing and everyone should read it!

Currently Reading: The Art Of Starving by Sam J. Miller & The Temptation Of Adam by Dave Connis

I’ve recently picked The Art Of Starving by Sam J. Miller as an audiobook and I’m not sure how I feel about it just yet. I’m only just a little over half way finished with it though so I’ll wait to see where this story goes before I judge it any further. I have also picked up The Temptation Of Adam by Dave Connis as I will be a part of the blog tour that starts next week! I’m almost done with this one now and I can’t wait to tell you all what I thought of it!

Next Up: The Wicker King K. Ancrum by & Quiet Girl In A Noisy World by Debbie Tung

I recently received my pre-order of The Wicker King by K. Ancrum and I quickly flipped through it and the design of the book looks amazing. The story itself also seems like something I’ll really enjoy so I can’t wait to pick that one up soon! I also recently received an ARC of Quiet Girl in a Noisy World by Debbie Tung and again, this seems like something that I will completely relate too! I can’t wait to read and review it for you!

FILM

Recently Watched: N/A

Yeah, this section is probably going to remain blank for a little while. I just have no time to going out and watching any movies at the moment! Hopefully I’ll be able to check out Thor: Ragnarok when it comes out though!

TELEVISION

Currently Watching: This Is Us Season 2, Star Trek Discovery, American Horror Story Season 7, Mindhunter Season 1, Riverdale Season 2 & The Walking Dead Season 8

As you can see, I’m currently watching way too much. However, I’ve been able to keep up for the most part! I watched the premiere/100th episode of The Walking Dead this past Sunday and it was a lot more action packed than I was anticipating! I can’t wait to see where this story arc goes!

24-2
Next Up: Stranger Things Season 2

No, I haven’t started Stranger Things yet. I’m waiting for my mom which is SO HARD. So please, no spoilers!

MUSIC

Currently Listening To: Hellevator by Stray Kids

I’ve already shared this song with you all, but damn…it’s forever stuck in my head.

As always, thank you for reading!

    1. Haha oh man I wish I had the time to binge all at once! I’ve only seen the first 4 episodes so far! Can’t wait to watch the rest! I’ll definitely be sad once I’m done as well!
