Weekly Catch-Up: Issue #20 – Books, Music, Television & Life Update!

weeklycatchup

Finaly, a week of rest.

LIFE

Finally. A relatively quiet week. After non-stop craziness for the last month I finally had a week where I didn’t really do much at all…and it was lovely. The only real highlight worth mentioning is a karaoke filled evening with a close friend from high school on Friday night! I actually sang quite a bit and it was a great way to just relax and let loose after a long busy month.

Oh, my friend and I also booked our flight to South Korea/Japan for next year and I absolutely cannot wait!

BOOKS

feralyouth

Recently Finished: Feral Youth by Shaun David Hutchinson

As mentioned above, I did nothing this week and that included reading. I just needed time to chill and do mindless things…like catch up on TV shows and listen/watch BTS’ new music video multiple times… I did manage to finish reading Feral Youth by Shaun David Hutchinson + more authors though and it was pretty great! I really enjoyed this one and Shaun David Hutchinson can do no wrong in my eyes.

Currently Reading: The Nowhere Girls by Amy Reed & I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga

I literally just started reading The Nowhere Girls by Amy Reed so I can’t really say too much about it just yet, but it has a really great premise and I’m expecting some great things from this one! I also randomly decided to start listening to I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga and oh my gosh, I am completely invested in this one so far. So captivating! I’m hooked…although…I really dislike its cover.

Next Up: Autoboyography by Christina Lauren & The Temptation Of Adam by Dave Connis

These two are both on my most anticipated list for the fall and I can’t wait to finally pick both of them up! They both seem like fantastic reads that I’m bound to love!

FILM

kingsman3

Recently Watched: N/A

But  I am going to see Kingsman 2 tomorrow!

TELEVISION

Currently watching: American Horror Story: Cult & Real Got7

I decided to use this calm week of doing nothing to catch up on some television shows. I didn’t get to as many as I had hoped, but I did manage to watch the three first episodes of the new American Horror Story season and I’m really not sure how I feel about it just yet. I’m just really confused and it’s been really repetitive so far. I was also browsing through Netflix and I stumbled upon Real GOT7 and I almost died. Why did no one tell me this was on Netflix?! I’ve been binging this since last night and I can guarantee it won’t be long before I’ve watched all three seasons. (Also, can we talk about how bad I felt for Yugyeom in the clip above?!)

MUSIC

Currently Listening To: Love Yourself: Her (Full Album) by BTS

BTS RELEASED A NEW MINI ALBUM. THIS IS NOT A DRILL. For now, please enjoy this dance practice to their new song DNA. So. Fucking. Good.

There you have it! A little wrap up of another crazy week! Hopefully the upcoming weeks will be a little more tame!

Thank you for reading!

  1. After the hectic month you’ve had you definitely deserve some down time. Also YAY for booking your flights to Japan/South Korea. That sounds like such a wonderful trip and both countries are on my bucket list.
Kingsman ❤ I loved the first film so I'm hoping the second one is just as good. Admittedly the main reason I watched the first one was for Taron Egerton but I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it.

    1. We have now also booked our first AirBNB for Seoul! I cannot wait! 😀 I still actually haven’t seen Kingsman but I haven’t really heard anything amazing about it 😦
