The first week of August has already come and gone which means it’s time for an update on my #ARC August reading goals! So far, I have read three graphic novels and I am half way through reading my first full length ARC. Before I get into details, if you would like to join in on ARC August shenanigans, see my earlier post on how to join!
ARCs I Have Read / Started Reading
Project Pandora by Aden Polydoros
I started reading an ARC of Project Pandora by Aden Polydoros which was provided to me by Entangled Teen via NetGalley. I’m about halfway through at the moment and it’s definitely intriguing so far, however it is a tad slow paced for me personally! I’m hoping it picks up soon as I plan to finish this one today!
Taproot by Keezy Young
Taproot is a graphic novel ARC that was provided to me by Diamond Book Distributors via NetGalley. This one was super cute, but ultimately I felt as though there was just too much going on in the storyline. I did really enjoy it though and it was super fast paced.
Generations by Flavia Biondi
Next up was Generations by Flavia Biondi which was also a graphic novel ARC that was provided to me by Diamond Book Distributors via NetGalley. This one was less cute and contained more serious elements. It was a coming of age story that dealt a lot with acceptance, especially acceptance from your family. I really enjoyed reading this one.
Lighter Than My Shadow by Katie Green
The final graphic novel ARC that I picked up this week was Lighter Than My Shadow by Katie Green which was also provided to me by Diamond Book Distributors via NetGalley. This one was a lot longer than the first two and also a lot darker. It dealt with a lot of hard hitting topics such as eating disorders, anxiety and OCD. While it was a tough one to read mentally, it was really well done.
You can find full reviews for each of these titles on my blog coming soon!
