For those who are unaware, I currently have a minor major obsession with the KPOP group BTS. I literally have never listened to KPOP before (other than like Gangnam Style by PSY) and I never really thought that it would be something that I would enjoy. Well, BTS recently won some award at the Billboard Music Awards and I recognized their faces from Tumblr, so I decided to check out what all of the hype was about…and that’s when I fell down the rabbit hole. I’m obsessed and I can’t stop. I watch their music videos everyday, I listen to them at work all day long and I am honestly 100% obsessed. Hello my name is Maria and I am addicted to BTS.
It was upon my intense internet google searching for more BTS that I came across the BTS Book Tag by Yvette Eclectic over on Youtube. I pretty much jumped for joy. BTS + Books? Yes please. So without further ado, I present to you the BTS Book Tag + some bonus question about BTS at the end! Be sure to continue reading if you want to find out who by bias is! 😉
Rhysand from the A Court Of Thorns And Roses series by Sarah J. Maas
I mean, if that description doesn’t describe Rhysand to a T I don’t know what does! Rhysand is definitely a true leader just like Rap Monster, and he absolutely loves his friends in the Night Court and he considers them his family.

Synopsis: Feyre survived Amarantha’s clutches to return to the Spring Court—but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can’t forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin’s people. Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms—and she might be key to stopping it. But only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future—and the future of a world cleaved in two. With more than a million copies sold of her beloved Throne of Glass series, Sarah J. Maas’s masterful storytelling brings this second book in her seductive and action-packed series to new heights.
Gansey from the The Raven Cycle series by Maggie Stiefvater
As soon as I read the description above, I instantly thought of Gansey from the Raven Cycle series by Maggie Stiefvater. I’m not sure if it’s because he’s so oldschool or what, but Gansey just feels like a 40 year old dad trapped in a young body…just like Jin!

Synopsis: It is freezing in the churchyard, even before the dead arrive. Every year, Blue Sargent stands next to her clairvoyant mother as the soon-to-be dead walk past. Blue herself never sees them—not until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks directly to her. His name is Gansey, and Blue soon discovers that he is a rich student at Aglionby, the local private school. Blue has a policy of staying away from Aglionby boys. Known as Raven Boys, they can only mean trouble. But Blue is drawn to Gansey, in a way she can’t entirely explain. He has it all—family money, good looks, devoted friends—but he’s looking for much more than that. He is on a quest that has encompassed three other Raven Boys: Adam, the scholarship student who resents all the privilege around him; Ronan, the fierce soul who ranges from anger to despair; and Noah, the taciturn watcher of the four, who notices many things but says very little. For as long as she can remember, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love to die. She never thought this would be a problem. But now, as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she’s not so sure anymore.
Lila Bard from the Shades Of Magic trilogy by V.E. Schwab
Lila is definitely multi-talented. She’s tough, witty and badass. She can fight…and without giving away spoilers, she becomes something so much more than all of these things! Lila is multi-talented, just like triple threat V!

Synopsis: Kell is one of the last Antari—magicians with a rare, coveted ability to travel between parallel Londons; Red, Grey, White, and, once upon a time, Black. Kell was raised in Arnes—Red London—and officially serves the Maresh Empire as an ambassador, traveling between the frequent bloody regime changes in White London and the court of George III in the dullest of Londons, the one without any magic left to see. Unofficially, Kell is a smuggler, servicing people willing to pay for even the smallest glimpses of a world they’ll never see. It’s a defiant hobby with dangerous consequences, which Kell is now seeing firsthand. After an exchange goes awry, Kell escapes to Grey London and runs into Delilah Bard, a cut-purse with lofty aspirations. She first robs him, then saves him from a deadly enemy, and finally forces Kell to spirit her to another world for a proper adventure. Now perilous magic is afoot, and treachery lurks at every turn. To save all of the worlds, they’ll first need to stay alive.
Ronan Lynch from the Raven Cycle series by Maggie Stiefvater
Now, I doubt that Ronan Lynch is ever intentionally trying to be funny and adorable, but there were moments that I was just like “look at this cinnamon roll”. But by the time that thought even crossed my mind, he was completely charming. Literally in 1.2 seconds…just like Jimin who one moment has me giggling and the next has me fangirling.

Sevro au Barca from the Red Rising trilogy by Pierce Brown
Sevro is described as being small, but that doesn’t mean you should underestimate him. He’s one of the toughest and most badass characters I’ve ever read. Just like Jungkook, he was small and underestimated at first, but grew into one of the strongest characters of this trilogy.

Sasha from The Backstagers, Vol.1
Basically, every single one of these characters is a little ball of sunshine, but I would have to say the one character that is always bursting with energy and is always in a good mood would have to be Sasha! Literally a ball of sunshine.

Benji from Beartown by Fredrik Backman
Benji is supposed to be the Goon of the small town hockey club featured in Beartown by Fredrik Backman. While he keeps up with his cool and tough persona, we get to see a softer side of Benji as the story progresses and we learn that there’s a lot more to him and his character and maybe he isn’t the tough goon that he makes himself out to be…much like Suga.
—
Synopsis: People say Beartown is finished. A tiny community nestled deep in the forest, it is slowly losing ground to the ever encroaching trees. But down by the lake stands an old ice rink, built generations ago by the working men who founded this town. And in that ice rink is the reason people in Beartown believe tomorrow will be better than today. Their junior ice hockey team is about to compete in the national semi-finals, and they actually have a shot at winning. All the hopes and dreams of this place now rest on the shoulders of a handful of teenage boys. Being responsible for the hopes of an entire town is a heavy burden, and the semi-final match is the catalyst for a violent act that will leave a young girl traumatized and a town in turmoil. Accusations are made and, like ripples on a pond, they travel through all of Beartown, leaving no resident unaffected. Beartown explores the hopes that bring a small community together, the secrets that tear it apart, and the courage it takes for an individual to go against the grain. In this story of a small forest town, Fredrik Backman has found the entire world.
We Are The Ants by Shaun David Hutchinson
I will literally never forget this book. It is one of my all time favourite reads and that will never change. I couldn’t put this book down. The writing was brilliant, the story was brilliant. This book deserved to be read by everyone. It is definitely a book that I connected with on a spiritual level and that I will truly never forget.

The Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling
Is there even another answer to this question for anyone born in the 90s?! Harry Potter was the book that turned me into the reader that I am today. My mom bought the first book for me as a gift when I was 9 years old and it has been a favourite ever since. Harry Potter has shaped so many kids into the readers that they are today.

The Deadly Class comic series by Rick Remender & Wes Craig
Everyone who knows me knows that Deadly Class is my all time favourite comic series. This series deserves so much more hype than it currently has and I have literally become a unofficially spokesperson for this series. I tell every single person I know who enjoys reading comics to pick this series up and give it a try. It’s so underrated and I personally want to fix that!

hahah, i love this! i didn’t know about this tag, but i’m definitely contemplating answering it. it’s so much fun!
my blog name (harumansae) is actually inspired in one of their songs, haruman (just one day). even though it’s an older song, it is probably one of my favorites. if you watch the mv, you will probably cringe a lot, but that’s okay, because you can see how much they’ve improved.
i’m happy that you found them out through billboard music awards, because they were probably one of the first kpop groups to win such a huge international award.
AND YES. FOR FIRE. BEST PERFORMANCE EVER!
