This week we are highlighting the Top 10 Authors We Have Met or Want To Meet. I have decided to list 5 of each because I really loved both versions of this topic! So without further ado, here are the top 5 authors that I have already met as well as the top 5 authors that I would like to meet!

Top 5 Authors I Have Met
V.E. Schwab (A Darker Shade Of Magic, This Savage Song, Vicious)
V.E. Schwab is one of those authors that everyone should want to meet. She’s smart, inspiring and funny! Now if only she could come back soon so I can get my copy of A Conjuring of Light signed!

Morgan Rhodes (Falling Kingdoms)
Morgan Rhodes is by far one of the funniest authors I have ever met. She honestly brings life to the room and always has the best answers to questions. I should really finish reading the Falling Kingdoms series series soon!
Pierce Brown (Red Rising)
Pierce Brown was the first author I had ever met since I had begun blogging about books! This event was also where I met a ton of the Toronto Blogger Gang for the first time, so this day was pretty special for me. I got to meet a great author while also making a lot of new friends!

M-E Girard (Girl Mans Up)
M-E Girard is another one of those authors that just has the best answers to every question. She has the ability to make the entire room laugh! I can’t wait to read whatever she comes out with next!
Wes Craig (Illustrator of Deadly Class)
Okay…so not an author, but if you’ll allow it, I’d love to talk about Wes Craig for a minute. Deadly Class is my favourite comic of all time which I’m sure is no surprise to anyone. I met Wes Craig by complete fluke at Fan Expo Canada two years ago as I had no idea he was even going to be there. I happened to walk by his booth and maybe freaked out a little. I got a signed print and I absolutely LOVE it.

Top 5 Authors I Want To Meet
Shaun David Hutchinson (We Are The Ants, At The Edge Of The Universe)
Shaun David Hutchinson is obviously the highest on my list. Words cannot describe how much I LOVE his books and his writing and all I want in life is to be able to meet him.
Jeff Zentner (The Serpent King, Goodbye Days)
Both of these books made me feel so many emotions and I would love to meet the author that wrote them. Jeff Zentner has become a new favourite of mine and I would love to be able to meet him some day!

Adam Silvera (More Happy Than Not, History Is All You Left Me)
Here is another new favourite author of mine. Adam Silvera has quickly become a new auto-buy author for me which makes him high on my authors-to-meet list!
Robin Roe (A List of Cages)
If you guys haven’t read this book yet, I highly recommend that you go pick it up right now! It is just so amazing and I bet it will make you want to meet Robin Roe as much as I do. This is an incredible debut and I think you should read it right now!
Grady Hendrix (Horrorstor, My Best Friend’s Exorcism)
My Best Friend’s Exorcism is the satirical horror novel that I needed and didn’t even know that I did. It’s funny while also being completely creepy…think Jennifer’s Body. I would love to meet Grady Hendrix, the author behind such fantastic story telling. Also, his other novel Horrorstör is made to look like an IKEA catalogue. So cool.

Ahhhh so jealous but so happy you got to meet Pierce. I’d love to meet him, he sounds like such a fun guy. The event itself sounded awesome with getting to meet some bloggers and such.

He was such a great speaker! Definitely recommend trying to meet him if you ever have the chance! It was also so amazing to finally get to meet some of the people that I had been talking to online for so long!

Such a great list! I agree– V. E. Schwab should definitely be on everyone’s list of authors to meet. I met Shaun David Hutchinson, Jeff Zenter, and Adam Silvera at Decatur Book Festival this year! Shaun and Adam are both HILARIOUS, and I thought Jeff had some great answers to the moderator’s questions on his panel. All three of them were really friendly, too.
