#BookTag: Sunshine Blogger Award!

Guys! I was tagged to participate in the Sunshine Blogger Award! I was nominated quite a few time so I decided to choose two people that I was nominated by and answer their questions! But first, there are some rules:

Post the award on your blog
Thank the person who nominated you
Answer the 11 questions they set you
Pick another 11 bloggers (and let them know they are nominated!)
Send them 11 questions

So, first up, thank you Mettel Ray & Books At Dawn for nominating me!

And here are my answers for their 11 questions:

1. What was the last movie you saw and loved?
Holding The Man. I came across it through Netflix and it was just one of those beautiful hidden gems. You can check out my review here if you’re interested!

2. Name an actor, an actress and a director you would pair in a movie and what genre would it be?
Rami Malek & Rooney Mara to star in a dark drama directed by Xavier Dolan.

3. Last song you listened to.
I was just listening to the entire self titled album by Lukas Graham.

4. Book to movie adaptation you would like to see happening in the near future?
I would love to see a film adaptation of This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab.

5. From all the Chris’, which one do you prefer: Evans, Pine, Hemsworth or Pratt?
This is probably the toughest question on this list. I’m going to have to go with…Hemsworth. Just know that this was the hardest decision I have ever had to make.

6. Name your 3 movie pet peeves.
Insta-love, cheesy soundtracks, when I’m able to predict the next line before a character says it.

7. If you had to choose, what season would you live in forever?
Fall, definitely Fall.

8. Imagine your pet (or an imaginary pet) had an inner voice, which actors/actress’ voice would he/she have?
Haha, so I have a Guinea Pig and he’s cute and fluffy, but he’s very anti-social. I can totally see him being voiced by someone like Kevin Spacey or Robert Downey Jr. Someone who can voice sarcasm and cynicism.

9. You had a really bad day, what book or movie will make you feel better?
The Breakfast Club or Back To The Future. Those are my two go-to films.

10. If they were handing out superpowers based on your personality, what superpower would you want and what would you probably end up with?
I would probably want invisibilty and I think that would probably be what I would get. I’m usually pretty quiet unless I have something to say, so I feel like Invisibility suits my personality quite well.

11. Sleep, Marry, Kill:
Round 1: Kill: Joel Kinnaman, Sleep: Ryan Reynolds, Marry: Dave Franco
Round 2: Sleep: Jared Leto, Marry: Chris Evans, Kill: Orlando Bloom
Round 3: Marry: Paul Rudd, Kill: Tom Hardy, Sleep: Michael Fassbender
Round 4: Choose between three guys you picked to marry from previous rounds
Sleep: Micheal Fassbender, Marry: Chris Evans, Kill: Dave Franco

1.You’ve committed a crime and are going to jail for life. The judge allows you to bring three books with you and those are the only three books you’ll be reading for the rest of your life. Which three are they?
A Wrinkle In Time by Madeline L’Engle, We Are The Ants by Shawn David Hutchinson & Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

2. Pick three characters from your favorite book and play the F*ck, Marry, Kill game.
Instead of favourite book, I’ll play with the characters from the most recent book I’ve read. Book: This Savage Song, F*ck: Henry (I really didn’t know who to put here LOL), Marry: August, Kill: Callum

You’ve been granted a magical power from the Gods. Which power is it and why?

You’ve been in a relationship with your man/woman and things are getting serious, but out of the blue they ask you to choose them or your books. Which do you choose and why?
Man, that is a difficult question. I hope the person I end up with wouldn’t make me choose between them and my love for reading as that’s part of what makes! 🙂

You’re being held at gun point but the shooter says he will set you free if you burn three of your books. Which three would you choose?
In A Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware, Half Lost by Sally Green & We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

Hero, Assassin, or Prince/Princess? You can only pick one. Which do you choose to be in a story with you as the main character?
Assassin. Definitely assassin.

There is a new law coming into effect. It bans (insert genre here) from ever being read/written again. Which genre would you choose?
Cheesy Romance.

With wanting more diversity in books nowadays, what is one aspect you believe should be represented more and why?
I think I’d like to see more of an Asexual representation. I really haven’t seen the asexual population represented at all in fiction, although it looks like we might in future issues of Sex Criminals by Matt Fraction & Chip Zdarsky!

Your favorite author is going to call you for a once in a lifetime chance to talk. You can only ask them one question. Who is the author and what is the question? Why?
Shawn David Hutchinson and I would ask him: How does it make you feel to know that your books influence and inspire not only teens, but readers of all demographics who relate to your stories and characters? And then I would probably break down and cry because We Are The Ants and The Five Stages of Andrew Brawley just meant so much to me.

If your favorite ship doesn’t end up together by the end of the book, would you give it a low rating and why?
No. Although I would be heavily disappointed, that factor wouldn’t directly influence my opinion of the book as a whole. If I do end up giving it a low rating, it wouldn’t be based solely on the fact that two characters that I shipped didn’t wind up together.

Pick 6 of your favorite characters and pretend they were in a horror movie. Only one will be the survivor, four of them will die, and the other one will be the killer. Who is the survivor, the killer and in what order did the others die in?
Characters: Wade Watts (Ready Player One), Magnus Damora (Falling Kingdoms), Gabriel Boutin (Half Bad), Marcus Lopez (Deadly Class), Rhysand (A Court of Thorns and Roses), Nimona (Nimona). Survivor: Rhysand, Killer: Marcus Lopez

    1. right?! I had such a hard time answering them! haha! I just felt like In A Dark Dark Wood was very cliche and nothing really happened. It moved way too slowly for my liking.

    1. Haha! I think my issue was that I just read too many psychological thrillers back to back and they all started to feel like the same thing. No problem at all! I look forward to reading your answers!
