readthemallweek1

As you may already know, I am participating the #ReadThemAllThon read-a-thon hosted by Aentee over at ReadAtMidnight! This also happens to be the very first read-a-thon I have ever taken part in!  I think I’ve chosen the perfect one if I do say so myself. If you want to find out more about this read-a-thon, check out the original post here. If you want to find out more about my personal TBR, click here! Without further ado, let’s check out my progress during week 1!

Unfortunately, I didn’t get to read anything today. I spent the day in Toronto hanging out with a group of friends while enjoying a the nice weather! I did manage to tweet about my lack of reading though, gaining me 4CP for my little Dratini!

Once again, I read nothing. Between my late night on Sunday and having to wake up for work early this morning, I was exhausted. I then worked a second job well into the evening and by the time I got home, my eyes would not stay open. I did, however, manage to tweet again which gained me another 2CP.

Ayeee! I finally got some reading in! I managed to squeeze in 60 pages of my first read of the read-a-thon, This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab which earned me another 6CP! I also managed to finish Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which was not a part of my #ReadThemAllThonTBR, but was still an accomplishment nonetheless. I also threw in another tweet for an extra 2CP!

Today I continued reading This Savage Song. Another 50 pages to be exact, which earned me another 5CP. I also started reading Tell Me Something Real by Calla Devlin, my pick for the Volcano Badge! I managed to read 60 pages of that, earning me 6CP. I also took a photo of my book and a Pokémon using the Pokémon Go photo capture feature earning me another 5CP.

Today was a big day. I managed to read another 170 pages of This Savage Song, earning me another 17CP. The most I’ve earned at once so far! I also squeezed in another 28 pages of Tell Me Something Real for another 2CP. I also threw a tweet out there earning me an extra 2CP.

day6

Friday August 19th 2016

I managed to read 74 pages of This Savage Song for 7CP and 95 pages of Tell Me Something Real for another 9CP. I also spent the evening at the movies watching Kubo and the Two Strings with a few friends!

Today I managed to read the last 70 pages of This Savage song which also means I completed my first book of the read-a-thon, earning me 7CP for the last 70 pages and 20CP for finishing a book! I also managed to read 65 pages of Tell Me Something Real earning me an extra 6CP! I didn’t have a chance to write my This Savage Song review yet, but that will definitely be coming soon!

That brings us to the end of week one! Here’s how my trainer card is shaping up:

So far, my Dratini has a total of 91 CP! I can’t wait to push myself further during week 2! Hopefully I can make up for those 2 whole days of reading nothing!

  1. Wooo! It looks like we’re on the same track. I hope I can finish three books this week, and then work on the last 4 in the final week. I forgot to calculate my Nidoran’s CP after this week… Great progress though Maria! 😀

    1. Yay!!! I’m hoping to finish at least 2 or three this week as well! I’m falling behind on writing reviews though haha! Oh man, calculating the CP was awful lmao I hate math. Even simple math 😛

  2. So, my first book was supposed to be a quick read last week, but I wasn’t really into it (And the Trees Crept In by Dawn Kurtagich), so I finally finished it today. Working on my review post right now, actually. Keep up the good pace!

    1. Yeah haha! I doubt I’ll be able to finish all 7 books, but it’s worth a try! It has definitely motivated me to get reading!! You can do it too! We got this! 😀
