Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly meme created by gingerreadslainey. If you want to know how T5W works you can go to the Goodreads group by clicking here. This weeks theme is Top 5 Characters You Are Most Like. This was such an intriguing topic for me. I have never really sat back and thought about what characters have similar traits as myself. It was kind of interesting to see what traits I personally think I have and what characters I relate to most because they carry similar traits. Here is a list of characters that I think are the most like me and why!
Jughead
I feel like Jughead is the voice of reason among the Riverdale gang. I’d like to think the same goes for me in my friend group. I tend to get caught in the middle of things quite often and I’m not one to choose sides. Instead, I try and be the voice of reason, to understand both sides of a story and resolve conflicts. Oh…and I also love food.

Sevro
Am I gross and physically dirty? I sure hope not. Am I sarcastic and cynical 24 hours a day 7 days a week? Hell yes. Am I the runt of my friend group? Definitely. While reading the Red Rising trilogy, I felt like Sevro and I were one in the same.

Cath
I was definitely that girl who started university with a slow start when it came to making friends. Did I write fan fiction? No. Was I obsessed with pop culture? Yes, and I still am. I feel like Cath and I have the same sense of anxiety when it comes to starting new adventures in life.

Lucien
Once again, I relate to a side character. The side-kick, or the best friend. The one who isn’t necessarily in the spot light, but still has an important role to play. I think that explains Lucien and me in a nutshell.

Gabriel
Gabriel is a friend that you can lean on. Someone who just wants everyone to get along. Gabriel is another character who acts as the voice of reason which is why I can relate to him so well.
I’ve never actually thought about the characters that are more like me but from the sounds of it Jughead and I would get along quite well. Like you, I am usually the voice of reason within my friendship group and I try to be the objective one. I also feel like I’m similar to Lucien because I’m usually play the role of the side-kick. I love this topic and it’s definitely making me think more about which characters I see myself in.

Great list! Cath also reminded me of myself from when I went to Uni and also Emily from Since You’ve Been Gone 🙂 Lucien was the only character I liked from ACOTAR!

Thank you! I haven’t read Since You’ve Been Gone yet, but it has been on my TBR for a while now! I absolutely loved Lucien! I haven’t picked up A Court of Mist and Fury yet, but I’m hoping we get to see more of him! 😀
