Hello everyone! It feels like it has been FOREVER since I participated in a book tag!
I would like to thank Lois @ My Midnight Musing for tagging me!
The Inside Out Book Tag features 5 different books based on 5 different emotions that these books made you feel. This is such a creative tag! I hate to admit I haven’t seen Inside Out (the film) yet, but I hope to see it very soon!
Let’s get started!
A book that brings you joy.
I’ll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson
Just everything about this book is a ray of sunshine. I don’t know how else to explain it. I definitely want to give this book a re-read soon so I can feel the joy is brought me all over again.
A book that brings you sadness.
All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven
Well, All The Bright Places was a clear winner for the topic of sadness. It is literally the only book that has ever caused me to shed some tears. This book definitely made me feel sad. Beyond sad.
A book that brings you fear.
Annihilation by Jeff Vandermeer
The entire Southern Reach trilogy definitely brought me fear. Everything about these books and the world created by Jeff Vandermeer is beyond creepy. I seriously got the heebie-jeebies on multiple occasions while reading this trilogy.
A book that brings you anger.
We Are The Ants by Shaun David Hutchinson
I absolutely adored this book. I just want to get that out in the open first. The reason We Are The Ants made me feel anger was because of everything that was happening to Henry. I felt angry with the way other characters treated him and I felt angry that I wasn’t able to insert myself into the story and help him. This is a must read and I highly recommend it!
A book that brings you disgust.
When Everything Feels Like The Movies by Raziel Reid
Once again, I want to make it clear that I also really enjoyed this novel. The reason I chose When Everything Feels Like The Movies as a novel that made me feel Disgust, it’s because of the way the main character, Jude, is treated. Just thinking about it now makes me feel disgusted with the other characters’ actions.
Well that was fun! I miss participating in Book Tags! Here are the people I tag! If you have already done this tag or don’t feel like participating, you definitely do not have to!
