For those who don’t know me very well, Back To The Future is my favourite film of all time. I remember way back when DVD players were a new thing (wow I feel really old  be able to say that) and my mom had just bought a new DVD player for my Dad for Christmas. As we all know, the day after Christmas is Boxing Day which is basically the Canadian equivalent to the American Black Friday. My Dad goes out, bright and early, every single Boxing Day morning in hopes of snagging some awesome deals! That Boxing Day he came home with our first ever DVD for our brand new DVD player. Not only was it our first DVD but it was a trilogy box set of none other than Back To The Future. My Dad swore to me that day that Back To The Future was a fantastic movie and I’m pretty sure we watched it right away. I remember instantly falling in love with it and it has been my favourite film ever since.

Of course, Back To The Future has become a popular topic lately. In the sequel to the original film, Marty McFly travels into the future. Keep in mind this film was released in 1989. The “future” in the film just so happens to be October 21st 2015…yes, you read that right…the day Marty travels to the future is TODAY! As of tomorrow, the “future” that Marty travels to will officially be considered the past. This is mind blowing stuff my friends.

Just like anyone trying to predict the future, Back To The Future II got a few things incorrect. However, the predictions that came true are the best part of this whole thing! Big screen TVs, wearable technology built in to glasses, tablets, drones and video conferencing. It’s pretty amazing. Although we don’t have flying cars or hover boards (YET, they’re working on it), the amount of correct predicitions is fantastic. One more thing, in the film the Chicago Cubs win the World Series…a team that hasn’t won for over 100 years. The best part? The Cubs are in the running this year. Can you imagine?!

Being that Back To The Future is my favourite film, I knew I had to dedicate at least one post to it today! I hope you all have an amazing Back To The Future Day!
